The Importance of Purpose and Stability in Your Life

Stability and purpose are both incredibly important to finding your authentic self and leading a fulfilling life, but what exactly do they mean? And why are they so powerful? I’m going to dive into each of these two concepts in depth, explaining what they mean, how to find them, and how they can help you become the best person you can be.

You don’t have to be anything but yourself in order to be good enough

Here are some important takeaways to get you started.

#1 - Understand who you are

In order to be at peace with yourself and have a stable life, it is important to first understand who you are. This can be a difficult process that requires a lot of self reflection and honesty. Additionally, it is a constant process that requires you to be mindful of your thoughts and actions. However, the effort is worth it as understanding yourself is key to living a happy and fulfilling life.

#2 - Understand what your goal(s) are

Defining your goals is an important part of understanding who you are. Once you have a clear idea of what you want to achieve, you can begin to create a plan to make it happen. This can bring a sense of peace and stability to your life, as you will have a roadmap to follow. Plus, being mindful of your goals will help you stay on track and make better decisions along the way.

#3 - Set up a schedule to achieve those goals

Achieving goals can be difficult if you don't have a plan or schedule to follow. By being mindful of your time and setting up a schedule, you can help bring peace and stability into your life. Plus, having a set schedule can help you stay on track while also avoiding burnout. If you're the type who hates feeling like they're going through the motions, this is a great way to put meaning back into your day-to-day routine. Create an agenda: Create an agenda that incorporates both personal and professional obligations; this will help ensure that there's enough room for both sides of yourself.

#4 - Do a life audit every few months (2–4)

A life audit is when you take a close look at your habits, thoughts, and actions to see if they align with your core values and goals. This can help bring peace and stability into your life by ensuring that you're living in a way that's authentic to you. Plus, it's a great way to check in with yourself to make sure you're still on track. Do a life audit every few months to help keep yourself grounded and purposeful.

#5 - Never stop learning about yourself

It is so important to never stop learning about yourself because as you grow and change, your understanding of who you are should also grow and change. However, that doesn't mean that you should be a different person every day. Instead, think of it as building upon the foundation of who you are. The more you learn about yourself, the stronger that foundation will become, and the more stable your sense of self will be.

Loving yourself well means knowing that you’re always worthy, even when you fail, even when you don’t feel good, even when you want to quit.
